This programme is available in December every year; it's perfect for an individual, a couple, or the whole family. You can spend one, two, or three weeks in England, learning about our traditions and experiencing our celebrations.
The English Christmas programme includes 20 hours of tuition each week.
In the mornings, you will spend 3 hours each day following a General English programme at your level. In the afternoons, you can take advantage of our English Options classes to focus on your individual needs and interests.
The English Christmas programme includes part-board homestay accommodation.*
You will live with a local homestay host, sharing their build-up to Christmas. Join them in decorating the house, putting up the Christmas tree, and getting ready for the big day.
* Homestay accommodation is optional, so you can choose to find a hotel or Bed & Breakfast if you prefer.
The English Christmas programme includes 2 excursions and 2 activities every week.
There are so many interesting places to visit while you are in England, many of them with great Christmas traditions that you will never forget. You will get to see London, with its famous Christmas lights, and attend a traditional carol service here in Bournemouth.
With Bournemouth's Christmas market available every day, there's plenty to keep you occupied.
The English Christmas programme includes free and unlimited travel on local public transport.
We can't promise that Santa will pick you up with his sleigh, but your driver might have a red nose, especially if it's cold outside. With travel cards to give you access to any Yellow Bus, at any time, you can take the opportunity to travel around, and do some Christmas shopping as well.
Christmas wouldn't be complete without the traditions of Christmas Day: a lunch with crackers and streamers, and some presents.
As part of your time in England, you will be invited to join staff and students in a traditional Christmas lunch, and you are guaranteed to go home with something special to remind you of your first English Christmas!
