Join us for 36 weeks; progress through the levels, refine your standard of English, and finish your course by preparing for and taking two internationally-recognised qualifications.

School

The Academic Year programme includes 21 hours of lessons for 36 weeks; a total of 756 classroom hours.

You will be able to follow General English and/or Exam Preparation classes at your level.

As your needs change during your time with us, you will be able to change your options, and your course will adapt to suit you.

With a total of 21 hours of contact time each week, you will still have some free time to relax and self-study.

Accommodation

The Academic Year programme does not include any accommodation.

If you would like us to organise accommodation for you, we offer Homestay accommodation with local hosts. We strongly recommend this option as it will give you a 24/7 experience of the language and culture.

However, if you prefer to find a private alternative, it would be worth looking at our pages that cover residential accommodation, private rentals, hotels, B&Bs, and apartments.

Leisure

The Academic Year programme does not include any leisure programme.

If you would like us to organise activities or excursions for you, we have a lot to offer. We can book excursions with local tour companies for you, or we can recommend some great places to visit, and amazing things to see, both in Bournemouth and in the surrounding area.

Alternatively, we have specific leisure programmes available all year round; these programmes offer reduced prices and an all-in-one service.

Travel

The Academic Year programme does not include any travel arrangements.

However, we do sell travel cards for local public transport; these cards offer you a significant discount on your daily travel costs.

Holidays

The Academic Year programme includes 36 weeks, but you can include up to 4 weeks of holiday as well.

Your programme will include 36 weeks of study; you can choose to have some holidays during this time. We recommend that you take a 2-week break after every 12 weeks of study.

If you take these holidays, your total period of study will be 40 weeks. However, this is not compulsory, so you can choose to take these holidays or not.

Qualifications

The Academic Year programme includes preparation and enrolment for two examinations of your choice.

Your course will build towards preparation for internationally-recognised ESOL examinations. With input from your teachers, you will be able to choose any two exams to prepare for. You can choose from the range of exams we offer.

Fully inclusive

The Academic Year programme includes all books and materials that you will need during your time with us.

All of your course books, test books, and classroom materials are included in one price. We also include your registration fee for both examinations you choose. This means that, academically, there are no other costs to consider.

All materials used are specifically designed to suit your needs, and to fit the syllabus of the exams you have chosen.
