Our Tuition programme is the most common programme chosen by our students: it is a period of lessons with no other services included.
As an adult, you can ask us to organise your lessons but nothing else. This is absolutely fine, but we are also happy to help when you need us.
You can choose how many hours you want to study each week: 6 hours per week is the minimum and 30 hours per week is the maximum.
If you study for less than 15 hours per week, you are considered a part-time student; you are welcome at school in the same way as a full-time student but, if you need a visa to enter the UK, we recommend that you register for a full-time course of study which includes at least 15 hours per week.
Part-time students study in the same classes as full-time students, and this has advantages for everyone. For our part-time students, the advantage is in the flexible timetable we offer - this allows you to study and work at the same time, for example. For our full-time students, the advantage is that you meet new people on a daily basis, rather than studying with the same people every day.
If you are not sure what choice is right for you, please contact us and we'll help you decide.
You can also choose what type of class you would like to attend: we have General English and Exam Preparation classes.
As your language improves and your needs changes, so your course can change with you.
Again, please contact us if you are not sure about the best choice for you personally.
A Tuition programme does not include any accommodation.
If you would like us to organise accommodation for you, we offer Homestay accommodation with local hosts. We strongly recommend this option as it will give you a 24/7 experience of the language and culture.
However, if you prefer to find a private alternative, it would be worth looking at our pages that cover residential accommodation, private rentals, hotels, B&Bs, and apartments.
A Tuition programme does not include any leisure programme.
If you would like us to organise activities or excursions for you, we have a lot to offer. We can book excursions with local tour companies for you, or we can recommend some great places to visit, and amazing things to see, both in Bournemouth and in the surrounding area.
Alternatively, we have specific leisure programmes available all year round; these programmes offer reduced prices and an all-in-one service.
A Tuition programme does not include any travel arrangements.
However, we do sell travel cards for local public transport; these cards offer you a significant discount on your daily travel costs.
